Since 2001 Jane Burton Taylor has been working as a journalist writing features on design and architecture for the Sydney Morning Herald, mainly Thursday’s Domain/Essential section. Over this time Burton Taylor has also been compiling portfolios of fine black and white photographs. She has had three successful solo exhibitions and been shown in four group exhibitions.
Burton Taylor’s original training was in the visual arts majoring in photography and film-making so her current work has had a long genesis.
Prior to her work at The Herald Burton Taylor was a freelance travel journalist and photographer, researching and covering stories for publications including The Financial Review Magazine, Australian Gourmet Traveller, The Australian Way (Qantas) and Harpers Bazaar.
