point light gallery was established in 1996 to show and sell the work of artists who use traditional monochrome photographic media. Just as one can appreciate the way Winslow Homer or Norman Lindsay used the glowing transparency and freedom of watercolour so the visitor to point light should be able to see the way artists employ the full tonal, textural and emotional qualities of black and white photography.

Besides the gallery point light has a fully equipped studio and darkroom where occasional master classes in the use of film and photograph making are conducted and where a number of Australia's finest photographic artists work.
